TOLEDO OH (12-15-07)--The return of ARCA's weekly racing divisions at both tracks and a few changes at each venue highlight the 2008 version of the Flat Rock and Toledo Speedway schedules. The two sister short tracks, just 30 miles apart, will combine their very competitive weekly race cards and a variety of touring series stops to create a very busy season at both facilities.

FLAT ROCK MI (10-8-07)--Flat Rock Speedway concluded its 2007 racing season Saturday afternoon on a unseasonably warm and sunny day. Jeff Maran captured the Sierra Mist 250 lap Enduro, Michael Dailey notched the Enduro championship while Brad Turner took the win in the 25 lap 4 Cylinder main event. A total of 24 wives/girlfriends and mechanics took part in 3-10 lap events to wrap up the year at the ¨ mile paved oval.

SOUTHGATE MI (11-7-07)--A large crowd of over 600 guests converged Friday evening at the annual Flat Rock and Toledo Speedways banquet, held at the elegant Crystal Gardens Banquet Center in Southgate, MI. A total of $46,780 in cash and awards was distributed during the awards ceremony, which was hosted by track announcer Gary Lindahl. All the track champions received their championship jackets as ARCA President Ron Drager led the toast to the champions.

Flat Rock's ARCA Moran Chevrolet/Miller Lite Late Models saw Dennis Strickland edge Scott Giroux by just 5 points to claim his first-ever Flat Rock crown. Dennis and his car owner, wife Tina, accepted the championship trophies and a check for $2000. Ron Allen, Eric Lee, Greg Studt, Dick Barker, Paul Pelletier, Steve Cronenwett Jr., Roger Blackstock and Chris Benson rounded out the final top 10 point men for 2007. Giroux was named Rookie of the Year, while Barker notched Sportsmanship honors.

TOLEDO OH (12-4-07)--Richard Apperson, former ARCA Figure-8 and Enduro driver at Flat Rock Speedway, died of cancer at his home in Monroe, Michigan after a lengthy illness.

TOLEDO OH (11-12-07)--Santa Claus wouldn't miss this party for anything! And fans, race teams and officials should have this date on their calendar, too-it's the annual ARCA/Flat Rock Speedway/Toledo Speedway Christmas Party, set for Saturday evening, December 1 at the Toledo Speedway Bar and Grille banquet room.

Well, the opportunity is now real as Flat Rock and Toledo Speedway management will once again offer an ARCA 4 Cylinder race car for rent for the upcoming 2008 season.

TOLEDO OH (3-10-08)--It's now official and in the construction phase-I-75 in both directions is CLOSED in Detroit between Clark Street and Rosa Parks Boulevard for the planned Ambassador Bridge interchange project. It is slated to be closed through Christmas of 2009.

FLAT ROCK MI (5-24-2008)-- Defending champ Robbie Loving won a great duel with Dennis Whisman and captured the 100 lap ARCA Speedway Bar and Grille Figure 8 race Saturday night at Flat Rock Speedway. Derek Wiley and Rich Abel were the winners in the two ARCA Greater Detroit Auto Auction Street Stock main events on a crystal-clear, yet cool evening at the track.

Flat Rock, MI (9-6-2008)--  Eric Lee (Late Model), Dan Ford Jr. (Street Stock A Main), Rich Abel (Street Stock B Main) and Brad Turner (4 Cylinder) were crowned the 2008 track champions Saturday night at Flat Rock Speedway.  Ricky Kargel was the victor in the 100 lap Late Model race and Billy Earley took the Figure 8 contest.  Glass Block Sales served as the sponsor for the beautiful evening of racing at the ¼ mile paved oval.

Flat Rock, MI  (4-25-09)--  The long, harsh winter is officially over—Flat Rock Speedway is open!  “The Rock” began its 56^th season of operation Saturday night under cloudy skies and pleasant temperatures.  The rain and storms pounded the area to the north of the track, but things were dry all evening, allowing the 7-Up Season Opener to take place.  Dennis Strickland, Billy Earley, Clyde McKee and Eric Fitzpatrick collected the feature wins on a night that saw action and accidents in all 3 divisions.

FLAT ROCK, MI (5-16-09, 1 p.m.)--As of 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 16, the Saturday night weekly racing program at Flat Rock Speedway, featuring Buckeye 305 Sprints, Figure-8s and Street Stocks, is on schedule. Check arcaracing.com for updates.

FLAT ROCK MI (8-28-08)--Local hockey legend Nick Vitucci, a member of the ECHL Hall of Fame, will make his auto racing debut at Flat Rock Speedway on Friday Night. Vitucci will compete in Flat Rock Speedway's popular David's Jewelry 4-Cylinder division as part of the track's Aquafina Enduro 250 night.

The Stan Yee Memorial t-shirts and decals will be available at Flat Rock Speedway on Wednesday (June 18th) at the practice session from 5pm to 9pm.
