ARAMARK TO SPONSOR ARCA SPORTSMAN; DIAMOND RACING PRODUCTS BACK FOR JOY FAIR MEMORIAL 100

Flat Rock, MI and Toledo, OH - February 27, 2014):  Flat Rock and Toledo Speedway officials have announced that Aramark Uniform Services has signed on for the title sponsorship of the ARCA Sportsman division the 2014 racing season, while Diamond Racing Products has renewed its sponsorship of the Joy Fair Memorial 100, set for Saturday, May 24 at Flat Rock Speedway.

Aramark is expanding their program with the 2 tracks by adding the Sportsman division sponsorship.  The company is in its 2nd year of serving as the Official Uniform Supplier for track officials at both speedways.

The ARCA Aramark Sportsman division will compete in 11 events at Toledo Speedway in 2014, and will visit Flat Rock for a pair of races this season.  “We are grateful to Aramark for coming on board with their additional support with the Sportsman class,” said Ron Drager, owner and promoter of the 2 tracks.  “Our thanks to Gregg Oberle and the staff at Aramark for their assistance.”

The Joy Fair Memorial 100, held at Flat Rock Speedway, will once again carry the backing of Diamond Racing Products. Diamond owner Bob Fox, a former racer who raced against Fair during his career, has renewed his program with Flat Rock for the event, in memory of the legendary short track racer, who passed away several years ago.  The 100 lap contest is part of the ARCA Late Model Gold Cup Series.  The date is Saturday, May 24, with a rain date of Sunday afternoon, May 25 established.

“We have been very fortunate to build the Diamond Racing Products/Joy Fair Memorial 100 into a great event in a very short time,” noted Scott Schultz, General Manager of Flat Rock and Toledo.  “Bob Fox, through his Diamond Racing Products business, has been very instrumental in making this race a top-notch event, and Joy’s family has been very supportive of a night that we can all pay tribute to perhaps the finest short track racer of all-time.”
