TOLEDO OH (3-10-08)--With the new racing season fast-approaching, Flat Rock and Toledo Speedway management is busy completing details for events both new and for the traditional stand-bys at the 2 tracks. New to the schedule at both facilities is Race Car Roller Derby, while the Imperial Stunt Driverís Thrill Show is set for a date at Toledo in 2008.

TOLEDO OH (3-10-08)-All racing fans, track officials, racers and former racers are invited to the Toledo Speedway Bar & Grill this weekend forseveral racing-related festivities. A Racer's Reunion is slated to begin at 12 noon on Saturday, March 15th at the Toledo Speedway Bar & Grill Banquet Room. Beginning at 2 p.m., the bar will air ABC's broadcast of the Sharpie Mini 200 NASCAR Nationwide Series race. At 6 p.m. the Michigan Auto Racing Fan Club will hold their monthly meeting.

FLAT ROCK, MI (6-14-2008)-- They arrived late, but they arrived! A huge crowd piled into Flat Rock Speedway for the Marco’s Pizza School Bus Figure 8 races on a beautiful Saturday evening. SPEED Channel’s Ray Dunlap was victorious in the Bus event, while Levi Rouster, Eric Huston and Ray McClure also posted victories. The SPEED Channel crew of Phil Parsons, Krista Voda and Adam Alexander were on hand to greet the fans and cheer on Dunlap and Rick Allen, who took a run in a Factory Stock.

FLAT ROCK, MI (7-12-2008)--  A late morning rain gave way to eventually clear skies and a chance to finally complete a weekly race card at Flat Rock Speedway Saturday night.  For the first time in over a month, the track’s 3 weekly divisions were able to compete.  Saturday’s Miller Lite Triple 50’s were filled with great racing in an action-packed night, capped off by the famous Flat Rock Speedway Volcano Fireworks display.  Dennis Strickland, Dennis Whisman, Randy DeMaggio and Jim Rae captured main event wins.

Randy DeMaggio took the lead on lap 21 and spent the remainder of the 100-lap feature battling with someone or the other. He won what was probably the biggest race of his racing career when he was victorious in the Street Stock 100-lap feature Saturday night.

TOLEDO OH (1-2-08)-The ARCA community would like to wish a speedy recovery to long-time ARCA member Bill Leach, who suffered from a heart attack during the holiday season.

TOLEDO OH (3-10-08)--It's now official and in the construction phase-I-75 in both directions is CLOSED in Detroit between Clark Street and Rosa Parks Boulevard for the planned Ambassador Bridge interchange project. It is slated to be closed through Christmas of 2009.

FLAT ROCK MI (5-24-2008)-- Defending champ Robbie Loving won a great duel with Dennis Whisman and captured the 100 lap ARCA Speedway Bar and Grille Figure 8 race Saturday night at Flat Rock Speedway. Derek Wiley and Rich Abel were the winners in the two ARCA Greater Detroit Auto Auction Street Stock main events on a crystal-clear, yet cool evening at the track.

Flat Rock, MI (9-6-2008)--  Eric Lee (Late Model), Dan Ford Jr. (Street Stock A Main), Rich Abel (Street Stock B Main) and Brad Turner (4 Cylinder) were crowned the 2008 track champions Saturday night at Flat Rock Speedway.  Ricky Kargel was the victor in the 100 lap Late Model race and Billy Earley took the Figure 8 contest.  Glass Block Sales served as the sponsor for the beautiful evening of racing at the ¼ mile paved oval.

Flat Rock, MI  (4-25-09)--  The long, harsh winter is officially over—Flat Rock Speedway is open!  “The Rock” began its 56^th season of operation Saturday night under cloudy skies and pleasant temperatures.  The rain and storms pounded the area to the north of the track, but things were dry all evening, allowing the 7-Up Season Opener to take place.  Dennis Strickland, Billy Earley, Clyde McKee and Eric Fitzpatrick collected the feature wins on a night that saw action and accidents in all 3 divisions.

Flat Rock, MI (7-26-2008)-- At 2:55 p.m. Saturday, July 26, a brief rain shower hit Flat Rock Speedway, delaying the start of practice for tonight’s Moran Chevrolet-Stan Yee Memorial 150 for the Late Models.  The track is now being dried as of 3:10 p.m. and all systems are GO for tonight’s race, the biggest race of the season. ...

Flat Rock, MI  (9-19-2008)-- The Pepsi School Bus Figure 8 races made their appearance at Flat Rock Speedway for a rare Friday night event, pushed back due to last Saturday’s monsoon-like rains.  Chris Benson captured the Bus feature, while Chris Perry topped the Michigan Legends main.  Jeremy Vanderhoof and Dave Tanner captured the Street Stock events in front of a large crowd on a beautiful evening.

TOLEDO OH (4-25-08)--The orange barrels just keeping appearing!  TELEGRAPH ROAD at West Road is 1 lane in each direction until Friday, May 2.  If you use Telegraph to get to Flat Rock Speedway, avoid it!  Best bet is to exit at Gibraltar Road west, which takes you to downtown Flat Rock.  Go left at Telegraph to the track.
