Whisman Flat Rock Figure 8 King For 2008
Flat Rock, MI (8-30-2008)-- Dennis “The Rebel” Whisman delivered Saturday night at Flat Rock Speedway, taking the ARCA Speedway Bar and Grille Figure 8 25 lap Championship feature and capturing the 2008 Flat Rock track championship in the process. Chris Benson, Rob Moore and Jim Selmi were also feature winners on a perfect night for racing.
...Dailey Takes Thrilling Aquafina 250 Enduro at Flat Rock; Snares Championship
Flat Rock, MI (8-29-2008)-- Howell, MI driver Michael Dailey pulled off the “Daily Double” in outstanding fashion Friday night at Flat Rock Speedway, pulling off the upset win by .12 of a second to win the Aquafina 250 lap Enduro race and in the process sewed up the 2008 Flat Rock Enduro championship. Matt Brazeau took the 25 lap ARCA David’s Jewelry 4 Cylinder race in front of a good crowd.
...Local Hockey Legend Nick Vitucci to Race at Flat Rock Speedway Friday Night
FLAT ROCK MI (8-28-08)--Local hockey legend Nick Vitucci, a member of the ECHL Hall of Fame, will make his auto racing debut at Flat Rock Speedway on Friday Night. Vitucci will compete in Flat Rock Speedway's popular David's Jewelry 4-Cylinder division as part of the track's Aquafina Enduro 250 night.

Pelletier-Miller-Ford Jr.-Chartrand Flat Rock Winners
Flat Rock, MI (8-23-2008)-- With temperatures in the 90’s and humidity to match, there was extra flavor added to Saturday night’s Stoney Creek Auto Parts Kids Night at Flat Rock Speedway. Over 500 kids were in attendance to take advantage of the track’s free admission, hot dog, chips and a drink for kids 14 and under. On the track, the action was sometimes wild and extremely entertaining and exciting. Paul Pelletier, Jeremy Miller, Dan Ford Jr. and Steve Chartrand were feature winners. Kevin Butzin of Stoney Creek, who also competed in the Late Model class, made trophy presentations to the victors. The entire race card was completed at 9:45 p.m.
...Attention Figure 8 and Street Stock Teams
Flat Rock Speedway has found a source to take your discarded Hoosier Sportsman tires. They may be dropped off at the track Saturday night or during the week; please check in at the office before doing so on weekdays. The track, as previously announced, is also taking Late Model tires of compounds 3035, 3045, F-45 and F-56.

Flat Rock, MI (8-16-2008)-- There was activity both on and off the track on a perfect day weather-wise Saturday night at Flat Rock Speedway, as “The Rock” hosted the Sterling Printing and Graphics/Leppen Chiropractic Autograph Night. Fans were treated by Flat Rock’s race teams to candy, photos and treats during the on-track autograph session prior to the race program. Feature winners for the night were Eric Lee, Billy Earley, Mike Jaynes and Larry Smouthers Jr.

Rain Hits Flat Rock Again; Autograph Night August 16
FLAT ROCK, MI: (8-10-08): For the fourth time in the last eight Saturday events, Flat Rock Speedway suffered yet another cancellation of its race card. The Lakeshore Utility Trailer Sales-sponsored event of August 9, featuring the Buckeye Super Sprints, Michigan Legends and the track's weekly ARCA Street Stocks, Figure 8's and 4 Cylinders fell victim to the rain. A total of 105 cars were on hand.
...Rain Hits Flat Rock Again
Flat Rock, MI (8-9-2008)-- Flat Rock Speedway suffered yet another rainout, as the Lakeshore Utility Trailer Night fell victim to the elements. All of qualifying was completed, as the Buckeye Super Sprints, Flat Rock’s Figure 8’s, Street Stocks, 4 Cylinders all time trialed before the rain. The Michigan Legends were also on hand for the big 5 division program.
The rain began at the end of qualifying at 6:25 p.m. and the track was just about ready to go when another rain hit the track at 7:45 p.m., ending the racing card.
