Former ARCA Flat Rock Speedway Figure 8 driver Richard “Duane” Mosley, age 50, passed away Saturday, September 6.

(Flat Rock, MI—September 6, 2014):  Despite heavy rains overnight, Flat Rock Speedway roared to life Saturday night for the School Bus Figure 8 show.

Flat Rock Speedway will be in operation tonight. The front gates and ticket office will open at 3:30 pm and racing will begin at 6 pm.

(Flat Rock, MI—September 4, 2014):  It’s very common to find a father racing against a son at the hundreds of short tracks across the United States.

(Flat Rock, MI—August 30, 2014):  Despite the weather forecast of rain, Flat Rock Speedway never saw a drop, allowing the Heritage Newspapers Season Championship Night to be completed.

In one of the weirder turns on a championship race, the top four drivers going into the race, leader Dakota Carlson, Brad Reithmeyer, Harold Fair Jr. and Dennis Strickland all had problems.

(Flat Rock, MI—August 27, 2014):   Four drivers will add their names to the record books Saturday night at Flat Rock Speedway as the Heritage Newspapers Season Championships wraps up the battle for the 2014 track titles.
