RAIN WIPES OUT FLAT ROCK ACTION AGAIN
July 15, 2023: Flat Rock Speedway’s Saturday, July 15 race card has been canceled due to rain and the continuing forecast of more on-again, off-again showers for most of the day.
The track grounds are very saturated, with standing water in some areas. Heavy rain fell Friday afternoon, returned again early Friday night and another batch of heavy rain hit Flat Rock and the surrounding areas early this morning. Additional rain is expected throughout Saturday.
The next event on the schedule is set for Saturday, July 22. The track’s biggest event of the season, the Moran Chevrolet Stan Yee Memorial 150 presented by DTS Drive Train Specialists and Fraza, will take place. The ARCA Moran Chevrolet Outlaw Super Late Models will battle in the 150 lap main event.
The ARCA DTS Street Stocks 50 lap A Main and 25 lap B Main, washed out now for the last 2 Saturdays, are both now scheduled for July 22. The division will run features only.
The ARCA R & M Recycling Figure 8’s return to action also on July 22 with a full show of heats and a 20-lap feature on the Figure 8 course.
The status of the fireworks show, the ARCA Salenbien Excavating Late Model Sportsman and the Safety Kleen 250 lap Enduro race, all of which were slated to be part of the July 15 show, will be announced early next week.
There is no advance sale for the July 22 event. ALL tickets will go on sale at the track on race day when the gates open at 4:30 p.m. Race time is 7 p.m. for the July 22 race.
Tickets are $25 for adults, children 6-12 are $5 and under 6 are free.
