Connor Zilisch Enters Flat Rock Dutch Boy 150 | May 18th

FLAT ROCK, Mich. April 29, 2024 -- Connor Zilisch of Chevrolet’s Pinnacle Racing Group is among the first entries for the May 18th Dutch Boy 150 at Flat Rock Speedway.

Zilisch is signed to NASCAR’s Trackhouse Racing, a team co-owned by Toledo Speedway alumni Justin Marks, and Grammy award-winning recording artist Pitbull.

The 17-year old driver has become a big name in the motorsports community over 2024 so far, heading to victory lane in the CARS Late Model Stock Car Tour, IMSA SportsCar Championship, and ARCA Menards Series East in the short duration of 2024 so far, as well as a NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series pole.

In March, it was announced that he will drive Dale Earnhardt Jr’s JR Motorsports #88 car in the NASCAR Xfinity Series starting with a race at Watkins Glen on September 14th.

Zilisch burst onto the scene this year in multiple forms of racing, setting the track record at Texas’s Circuit of the America in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series in his first ever start.

In March, he joined Arrow McLaren Racing’s Pato O’Ward as the only 17-year old to win the Daytona 24 and Sebring 12 hour back-to-back.

Just this weekend, Zilisch took his first ARCA Menards Series win in just his second ever race, taking the win in an exciting race in Dover - Chevrolet’s first win of 2024 in the ARCA Menards Series.

Zilisch is racing for Pinnacle Racing Group, a team led by a partnership of Mark and Jerri Webb, Shane Huffman, and Chevrolet driver development program heads Josh Wise and Lorin Ranier.

Ranier is a name very familiar to those around NASCAR and the ARCA Menards Series, as Lorin’s grandfather H.B. Ranier owned winning cars in the ARCA Menards Series in the 1960’s with drivers such as Bobby Watson and Jim Vandiver, and later in the 1980’s Lorin’s father Harry Ranier won the NASCAR Cup Series Daytona 500 three times with Buddy Baker and Cale Yarborough in the famous #28 car.

The #28 Chevrolet heads to Flat Rock on Saturday, May 18th with Connor Zilisch at the helm, looking to take a win at the track just a 30 minute drive from Chevrolet’s Headquarters at the Renaissance Center in Detroit.

You can see Zilisch race at Flat Rock Speedway on Saturday, May 18th when the ARCA Menards Series East takes on the Level Pebble, Flat Rock Speedway.

Furthermore, there will also be a pre-race autograph session in the Flat Rock Speedway garage area!
