Both Toledo and Flat Rock Speedways are getting ready for the Kids Power Wheels Derby! The highly-popular battery-powered machines will battle on the track at Toledo Friday evening, July 26 and Saturday night, August 3 at Flat Rock.
The Power Wheels Derby is for Kids ages 3-10. Each contestant must provide their own Power Wheels car and helmets must be worn. The entry form is on the track’s home pages under Racer Information, along with the minor’s release. Parents must fill out a minor’s release form prior to the event. A copy of that document is also on each track’s home page under Racer Information at www.toledospeedway.com and www.flatrockspeedway.com. There is a $10 entry fee per child per race.
The Power Wheels cars are to be dropped off at the pit gate at each track between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. on both dates. The cars will be brought out onto the track on a trailer. Parents only, will be permitted to accompany their child onto the track surface for the event.
Each participant will receive a Flat Rock/Toledo Speedway checkered flag and a free hot dog, courtesy of the tracks.
Toledo’s July 26 show on Friday night has a 7:30 p.m. start time, while Flat Rock Speedway’s race card on Saturday, August 3 begins at 7 p.m.
