Flat Rock, MI (7-19-08)-- For the third Saturday
out of the last 5, Flat Rock Speedway’s racing program was cancelled due to
rain. A handful of teams had checked in
and were ready to begin practice about 3:30 The Sterling
Printing and Graphics Christmas in July prize give-away was also slated to take
place Saturday.

TOLEDO, OH (7-17-08)-- Veteran Tim Ice has filed an entry for the MSA Super Modified portion of tomorrow evening’s Marco’s Pizza Night show at Toledo Speedway. Ice has made his name in Late Model racing in the Midwest, and won the 2000 version of Toledo’s famed Glass City 200.

SOUTHGATE MI (7-16-08)--For those of you that stayed home, you missed two terrific 50 lappers. Both the Super Late Models and the Street Stock A division feature were hotly contested and lot of side by side racing. Both divisions the top six cars pretty much ran under a blanket. I think the largest lead for either division was maybe a car length if that... mostly everyone ran doorhandle to doorhandle.

FLAT ROCK, MI (7-12-2008)-- A late morning rain gave way to eventually clear skies and a
chance to finally complete a weekly race card at Flat Rock Speedway Saturday
night. For the first time in over a
month, the track’s 3 weekly divisions were able to compete. Saturday’s Miller Lite Triple 50’s were
filled with great racing in an action-packed night, capped off by the famous
Flat Rock Speedway Volcano Fireworks display.
Dennis Strickland, Dennis Whisman, Randy DeMaggio and Jim Rae captured
main event wins.

Flat Rock, MI (7-12-2008)--As of 3:30pm, practice has begun. The sun is out, the sky is clear, the track is dry, and we have begun practice. Qualifying for the Miller Lite Triple 50's will begin at 5pm. Racing at 7pm.
As of 12:30pm rain has stopped, the track is beginning to dry, and we didnt even need the pumps. We will be pushing forward as scheduled. Practice will begin at 3:30pm, front gates open at 4pm with time trials at 5pm and racing at 7pm.
As of 10:45am we are experiencing some rain at Flat Rock Speedway. No changes to tonights events have been made, please check back at 12:30pm for the next update. Scheduled tonight at Flat Rock is the annual Miller Lite Triple 50's. 50-lap feature events for the Moran Chevrolet Late Models, the Speedway Bar and Grille Figure 8s and the Greater Detroit Auto Auction Street Stocks. At the conclusion of the racing there will be a fireworks display.
As for Toledo Speedway, and tonights Toledo Speedway Jam; No rain on site, and everything is in place for tonights edition of the Toledo Speedway Jam. On stage tonight you will see Seether, Finger Eleven plus the Sick Puppies and Radiocraft.

LIVONIA MI - Ron Gossett, part owner of S&J Asphalt and longtime sponsor of ARCA veteran driver Ron Allen, died Friday, July 4th after a long illness. He was 68.

FLAT ROCK, MI (7-5-2008)-- Veteran Tristan Dupuis made the long trip from Alto, MI to Flat Rock Speedway Saturday night and sped to victory in the Diet Pepsi 250 lap Enduro race. A solid turnout of fans enjoyed great weather and race car bowling, a rollover contest and a win by Ray McClure in the ARCA David’s Jewelry 4 Cylinder feature race.

TOLEDO, OH (7-3-2008)-- The Imperial Stunt Drivers Thrill Show entertained a good crowd Thursday night at Toledo Speedway to kick off the holiday weekend. The event, sponsored by Cumulus Radio and the Toledo Blade, featured a trio of wild Figure 8-type contests and the night was capped off by a sensational fireworks display. Dan McClintock of 94.5 WXKR Radio welcomed the crowd in pre-race festivities.

TO FLAT ROCK SPEEDWAY LATE MODEL TEAMS:
The decision has been made to allow Late Model teams to run 4 new tires if they choose for the Saturday, July 12 event at Flat Rock Speedway. Tires will again be impounded after the feature race July 12.

Enduro, Rollover Contest, Race Car Bowling, 4 Cylinders this Saturday
Flat Rock, MI (6-30-2008)-- For the second week in a
row, heavy rains washed out Flat Rock Speedway’s biggest race of the year, the
Moran Chevrolet/Stan Yee Memorial 150 for the ARCA Late Models. Track officials have moved the event to
Saturday evening, July 26. The rest of
the 2008 schedule remains unchanged at this time.

Flat Rock, MI (6-27-2008)-- Brent
Jack and Ron Allen captured their respective 50 lap main event wins in the BCSN
100 Friday night at Toledo
Speedway. Eric Huston and Brad Turner were also
victorious on an overcast evening at the ½ mile paved oval. Veronica Pinciotti, representing BCSN,
presented trophies in the New Glass Bowl Lanes Winners Circle.
