FLAT ROCK’S JET’S PIZZA OPENER GETS THIRD SHOT MAY 13

Flat Rock, MI—May 8, 2017: After 2 consecutive weather-plagued Saturdays, Flat Rock Speedway will try again this Saturday to get the 2017 racing season underway. The Jet’s Pizza Season Opener at “The Rock” is now set for this Saturday evening, May 13.

With the third scheduled week of the season now the opener, the speedway enters into its heavy promotional slate of events. This Saturday is the very popular Autograph Night, where fans can walk onto the track and meet the drivers. The Autograph session is set for 6:15 p.m., with racing to follow at 7.

Saturday is also the Monroe County 4-H Youth Night. For the third consecutive year, the track will host the largest 4-H group in the State of Michigan. The speedway is located in Monroe County.

The Racing Fan Club Night, which was scheduled for last Saturday, will now take place this Saturday evening. The Scout Night has been re-set for next Saturday, May 20.

The ARCA Moran Chevrolet Late Models, ARCA Victory Lane Oil Change Figure 8’s and the ARCA DTS Drive Train Specialists Street Stocks are slated for action for the first race of 2017. And the TKC Go-Kart Club will stage their annual Exhibition Races immediately after the Autograph Session.

Track officials have added an extra 30 minutes of practice to this Saturday’s slate. The Saturday, May 13 time schedule has the pits opening at 1 p.m., practice begins at 2:30 (front gates will also open at 2:30), time trials are set for 5, the on-track autograph session is at 6:15 and racing get the first green flag of the season at 7 p.m.
