FLAT ROCK’S JET’S PIZZA SEASON OPENER TRIES AGAIN MAY 6

Flat Rock, MI—May 3, 2017: Flat Rock Speedway will try again this Saturday, May 6 to get the 2017 racing season underway. The Jet’s Pizza Season Opener at “The Rock” was weathered out last Saturday, moving opening day to this Saturday evening. Race time is 7 p.m.

The ARCA Moran Chevrolet Late Models, ARCA Victory Lane Oil Change Figure 8’s and the ARCA DTS Drive Train Specialists Street Stocks are slated for action for the first race of 2017.

The track will host its annual Scout Night May 6, with all scouts in uniform and leaders in uniform or with an ID card admitted FREE as guests of the speedway. Troops are welcome! Racing Fan Club Night will also take place this Saturday.

The Saturday, May 6 time schedule has the pits opening at 1 p.m., practice begins at 3 (front gates will also open at 3), time trials are set for 5:15 and racing get the first green flag of the season at 7 p.m.

The following day, Sunday, May 7, the Flat Rock Historical Society Flea Market will take place at the speedway. Admission is free to the grounds, as is parking. The market runs from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. For vendor information, please contact 734-782-5220 or log onto www.flatrockhistory.org.
