NASH ICON LADIES NIGHT SATURDAY AT FLAT ROCK—LADIES FREE! MONROE NEWS ENDURO 250 ON RACE CARD!

Flat Rock, MI—May 11, 2015:  Flat Rock Speedway, in conjunction with NASH ICON 98.3 Radio, will host Ladies Night this Saturday evening, May 16.  ALL ladies will be admitted to the race program free of charge!  The first 250 lap Enduro race of the year, now known as the Monroe News Enduro Series, will take place and join the ARCA Praxair Figure 8’s and DTS Drive Train Specialists Street Stocks for an action-packed night of fun!

Several promotions that were part of last Saturday’s rained-out event have been rescheduled.  All UAW Local 3000 tickets dated May 9 will be honored this Saturday, May 16 only.  The College ID Night has also been re-set for May 16.  College students with a valid college ID will be admitted free of charge.

The Snap-On Tools promotion with Flat Rock’s race teams has been rescheduled for Saturday, June 20 for the Figure 8 and Street Stock classes.  Snap-On, celebrating its 95th Anniversary, will also be at the track for the Season Championships Saturday, August 29 for the Moran Chevrolet Late Model division.

The Carleton United Methodist Church tickets will be honored May 23, while the Racing Fan Club Night is now set for July 18.

“We are very excited about the Ladies Night promotion and teaming with NASH ICON 98.3 not only for this Saturday, but the station’s promotion of the entire 2015 season,” said Ron Drager, Owner and Promoter of the track.

The Monroe News has joined forces with the track to promote the track’s 5-race Enduro Series event on the racing calendar.  The first 250 lap race of the year hits the track this Saturday.  The Enduro class and the ARCA Factory Stock class, which will return for a limited amount of races at Toledo this summer, now have the same set of rules.

For this Saturday’s event, the Enduro cars will get a practice session and will stage group qualifying for the race.  The Monroe News Enduro Series events run 250 laps, with the race only stopped for safety issues.  The local Monroe County newspaper will assist the track in promoting the Enduro races, which includes 4 races at Flat Rock and a single event at Toledo, OH Speedway.  Defending Series co-champions Rick Bennett and Robb Remick are entered for the first event this Saturday.

Saturday’s race card will also include the wild, daredevil antics of the ARCA Praxair Figure 8’s and the wheel to wheel action of the ARCA DTS Drive Train Specialists Street Stocks.

The pit area opens at 3, practice begins at 4, time trials are at 5:30 and racing gets the green flag at 7 p.m.  The spectator gates open at 4 p.m.
