Flat Rock, MI—April 18, 2015:  Sunny skies and comfortable temperatures greeted over 50 race teams for Saturday’s practice day at Flat Rock Speedway.  A variety of race cars hit the ¼ mile paved oval as drivers checked out their machines before the Jet’s Pizza 2015 Season Opener next Saturday, April 25.

A total of 17 ARCA Moran Chevrolet Late Models were on hand, an indication of a strong and solid car count for the class this season at “The Rock”.  Over a dozen ARCA DTS Drive Train Specialists Street Stocks and several ARCA Praxair Figure 8 cars also took practice laps Saturday afternoon.

The ARCA Monroe News Enduro Series cars were also at the track, in addition to several ARCA Aramark Sportsman machines, an MCR Dwarf Car and a Sprint Car took advantage of the 5 hour practice session.

And now it’s on to race day!  The Jet’s Pizza of Flat Rock Season Opener will feature the ARCA Late Models, Figure 8’s and Street Stocks next Saturday, April 25.

The pit gates will open at 1:30, practice begins at 3, time trials are set for 5 and racing gets the first green flag of 2015 at 7 p.m. sharp.  The front gates will open at 3 p.m.

Adults are just $12 each, children 6-12 are $3 and under 6 are free!  Parking on the track grounds is also free!  No outside beverages or coolers are permitted in the grandstands or on the spectator hill.  Fans may bring lawn chairs and blankets for the hillside seating.
