Ford Family Takes 1-2-3 in Meaningful Street Stock Feature

Flat Rock Speedway on Saturday, June 13 had a slate with four divisions racing for the Corrigan Race Fuels First Responders Night. One feature stole the show as the DTS Drive Train Specialists Street Stock division put on one of the most exciting races of the 2026 season. Jeremy Vanderhoof and Robbie Moore Jr started on the front row. With Regan Ford Sr and Regan Ford Jr starting from row 2. More on them later!
After the drop of the green flag, Vanderhoof held on to the lead until lap 11 when he and a hard-charging Johnny Rangel made contact coming out of turn 2. Both Vanderhoof and Rangel had problems with their cars after the accident. In a great show of sportsmanship, Vanderhoof pulled the radiator cap off his car to give it to Rangel to finish the feature. With both competitors pulling into the infield with problems, it opened up the door for Regan Ford Sr to take the lead.
After the restart, Regan Ford Sr was able to pull clear of competitor Douglas Litogot, who has had a strong 2026 season. Shortly after the restart, the entire Ford family was running 1,2,3 as Dan Ford Jr followed his brother through to second and Regan Ford Jr battled with Greg Studt and Douglas Litogot for 3rd. As laps ticked away, Dan Ford Jr drew closer to his brother for the lead and in a defining move of the race Regan Ford Jr split lapped traffic three wide coming to the white flag to secure the victory.

“What a great night for our race team and the entire Ford family! After a bad start to the season, Regan Ford Jr. in the #99 had his best night of the year, qualifying 5th. He ran a great race, finishing 3rd in the feature. My brother Dan Ford Jr., Mr. Excitement, drove his new #20 car up to 2nd place. He’s raced 3 times this season, finishing in the top 5 each time. And Regan Ford Sr., driving the #24 parked it in victory lane, making it 29 career wins.” Said Regan Ford Sr., driver of the 24 ARCA Street Stock. “It was the first time all 3 Ford boys were together on the track in the same race and it couldn’t have been a better result. I was very proud of my son and our entire team. We have a lot of people to thank. I have to thank my Dad, who set up and crew cheifed the #24. Dan Ford Jr for all his work and setup knowledge. Special thanks to my old friend Don Lane Jr., who took over crew chief duties on the #99. He had Regan Jr fast all night. And of course, thank you team members Dave, Jessie, and Tom! Personally, it was my favorite race I ever ran. I was so proud of my son and my brother for finishing 1-2-3.”

You can catch the DTS Drive Train Specialists Street Stock division back in action on June 27th for Ruoff Mortgage Throwback Night Presented by 8 Point Building Supply.
