Recap: Flat Rock Speedway's Final Saturday Practice Before 2026 Opening Day!

Saturday, April 25th: With just 7 days until Saturday's Opening Day at Flat Rock Speedway, over 30 drivers showed up to Motor City's home track for the final practice before the first race of the 2026 season. This session provided teams four hours to get their cars in the proper place for the first race of the season, and a large amount of action came on-track during this important day of work and racing. Drivers were able to tick in a number of laps throughout the day of work, as the rain gave way to cool and cloudy temperatures on the quarter-mile speedway.

The season opens Saturday, May 2, with a special 4 p.m. start time. The first 2 Saturdays, May 2 and May 9, will both have racing at 4 p.m. Night racing begins Friday, May 15 with R&M Recycling Kids Night & Scout Night presented by Jacks Bicycle.

The ARCA Moran Chevrolet Outlaw Super Late Models, the R & M Recycling Figure 8’s, and the DTS Drive Train Specialists Street Stocks will hit the track for a day of fun-filled, family entertainment. Parking is free on the track grounds, and kids 6-12 are just $6 each. Adult admission for both May 6 and May 13 is just $16 per person online today!
