Stan Yee 150 Postponed to Saturday, August 2 Due to Flooding

Flat Rock, MI — Overnight heavy thunderstorms has caused substantial flooding at Flat Rock Speedway. Due to the circumstances officials have postponed tonight’s running of the Stan Yee 150 presented by DTS Drive Train Specialists. The event has been rescheduled for next Saturday, August 2. Crews worked through the night pumping water but ultimately can not get the property usable by race time.

All tickets from the July 12, July 19 and July 26 event will be honored on August 2. Saturday August 2nd will also honor the kids night promotion meaning kids 12 and under get in free and get a free hotdog and pop. Additional event details will be announced early next week.

Due to the circumstances and Flat Rock Speedways commitment to their fans and racers, the season has been extended, adding an event on September 6th for the Moran Chevrolet Outlaw Super Late Models, DTS Drive Train Specialists Street Stocks, R&M Recycling Figure 8s and Salenbien Excavating Late Model Sportsman. Additional details will be announced at a later time.

“Flood water on the track and in the parking lot is our biggest issue,” noted Ron Drager, Owner and Promoter of the track. We have worked through the night and into the morning to try to get the facility ready for today”, said Drager. “We would not be able to race in these conditions”.

We appreciate everyone’s understanding and look forward to seeing you next Saturday for one of the biggest races of the season.
