STAN YEE 150

Race Information Sheet

We would like to welcome you to the Stan Yee 150 at Flat Rock Speedway.  This sheet will help you prepare for one of our signature events for Outlaw Late Models.

TECH - The tech shed will be open to Outlaw Late Models exclusively at the opening of the pits.  You MUST go through tech before practice.  Failure to do so will result in a penalty.  The decisions of the tech shed are final.

SAFETY - Any time you are on the track, you must be fully outfitted with ALL safety equipment (this includes your head and neck device) - failure to comply will result in a penalty.

QUALIFYING - All cars will be taken to the infield for qualifying. You will be released onto the track and will get one warmup lap and two qualifying laps. Once qualifying starts, any cars not on the infield will receive only ONE lap of qualifying.

COMMUNICATION - During the race, each car must have a spotter in communication with its driver.  Additionally, the spotter must have a scanner in their other ear so that they can hear instructions from the tower.  If asked to communicate with their driver (for example, to decide fault in an accident), the spotter will have one lap to speak with a race official.  If no communication is given, the car will be sent to the tail of the field.

SPINNER/SPINEE - If the race director determines that two drivers have caused a caution, the two cars will be identified via radio communication to spotters.  Spotters will then quickly (see above) confirm with their driver of their decision (are you taking the blame? Yes or No - no need for explanation)

PIT PROCEDURES - The infield will be used as the pit area and will be hot for the entire event.  Please keep aware of your surroundings.  NO fuel/fueling in the infield.  Tires may only be changed if flat and with permission from a race official.  You MUST adhere to the signal (green or red) given at the end of pit road.  You may swing hard left after being released so as to blend into traffic as you enter turn one.  Drivers, you are responsible for your entire crew on the infield - please make sure that directions and directives from race officials are followed.  There should be NO persons on the infield who aren’t on a team racing in the event.  NO exceptions.

SAFETY CREW - DO NOT scrub tires or pass other cars in and around our safety crew when they are the track.  Follow their directions and directives.  Failure to do so will result in a penalty.

YELLOW FLAG PROCEDURE - If a yellow is displayed, immediately go single-file.  Tower will review the lineup and make changes. The quicker we go single-file, the faster we can go back to racing.  Lapped cars and the Lucky Dog (if available) will be determined and information relayed to spotters.  These cars should drop down on either the front or backstretch and fall to the back of the field, in the order called.

***Due to the length of this race, we may go red for what would regularly be a “long yellow” to ensure that fuel does not become an issue***

RED FLAG PROCEDURE - If it is determined that cleanup would be extensive, or the track would be blocked for car retrieval, the cars will be stopped at an area that would not interfere with recovery/cleanup efforts.  This may include a single-file line down pit road, where NO ONE may touch any of the cars.  The only thing a driver may do on a red flag is to check tire pressures IF they have the gauge in the car with them.  There can be no chassis/body adjustments or you will be sent to the tail on the restart.
POST RACE - The top five and one random car will be sent to tech. Crews may not adjust or work on vehicles before heading to tech.  No jacks to be used on track after the event.
