DTS Drive Train Specialists Joy Fair 100 Race Recap

One of the most highly anticipated Moran Chevrolet Outlaw Super Late Model races of the season, the DTS Drive Train Specialists Joy Fair 100 was highlighted by exciting racing and a bucket list victory for New Boston's Paul Pelletier. Since the 100-lap late model race started honoring the late Joy Fair in 2012, Paul has not been victorious in the marquee event until last Saturday. Lapped traffic, late cautions, or a plethora of challengers could not dethrone the Limelight Racing number 44 on Saturday night.
After the conclusion of the DTS Drive Train Specialists Joy Fair 100, the Churchill Transport factory stocks took to the Motor City Speedway. A feature that was primarily led by rookie Constance Carrillo turned into a close battle between Ayden Bunting and Trevor Buttrey. With Ayden taking the victory, his second of the season after his victory at Toledo Speedway earlier in the season.
To end the night, the R&M Recycling Figure 8 division put on a show under the lights. 2024 rookie of the year, Avery Vanderhoof, set his first fast time of his young career and started on pole for the feature. However, sometimes it's hard to beat experience. Greg Studt took the lead early and captured his first feature win of the season in the Figure 8 division.
