Introducing The NEW ARCA Factory Stock 500 Series
FLAT ROCK, TOLEDO TO HOST ARCA FACTORY STOCK 500 SERIES IN 2024
December 15, 2023: The ARCA Factory Stock/Enduro division will take a new direction for the 2024 season with the creation of the “Factory Stock 500” Series, a group of 5-100 lap contests; four events at Flat Rock Speedway and a single 100 lap sprint at Toledo Speedway. Each of these 5 races will be run under the Enduro style race format.
For the first time, the point system for the five Enduro races and the standard Factory Stock races will be combined to determine the overall ARCA Factory Stock/Enduro champion. In addition, a separate point system will be in place to crown the Factory Stock 500 champion for that 5-race series. In all, the ARCA Factory Stock/Enduro division will have 14 championship point races between the two tracks.
“The Enduro races started at Flat Rock in 1984,” noted Ron Drager, Owner and Promoter of Flat Rock and Toledo. “Through the years, the 250-lap events evolved tremendously, while the ARCA Factory Stock division at Toledo Speedway has seen steady growth since its inception. The Factory Stock 500 format reflects a merge of the two divisions and formats. We have been encouraged by the input from our ARCA Factory Stock/Enduro race teams, resulting in the combination in 2024 of traditional Factory Stock races and the 100-lappers with the Enduro style format.”
Additional details for the 500 Series will be announced in January. Derrick Sheppard is the defending champion of the ARCA Enduro division and Josh Bunting is the 2023 title holder for the ARCA Factory Stock division.
The ARCA Factory Stock/Enduro chase for the championship begins on Opening Day Saturday afternoon, April 20 at Toledo Speedway with practice, qualifying, heat races and a 20-lap feature. The USAC Silver Crown Series Rollie Beale Classic Hemelgarn Racing-Super Fitness 100 opens its 2024 season at Toledo on this date. The ARCA Late Model Sportsman will also be in action April 20.
The first Factory Stock 500 Series 100 lap race is set as part of Flat Rock’s Season Opener, Saturday afternoon, May 4. The 4-division race card will also feature the ARCA Moran Chevrolet Outlaw Super Late Models, R & M Recycling Figure 8’s and the DTS Drive Train Specialists Street Stocks.
The 2024 schedules for both tracks will be released during the holiday season.
