PREVIEW: Three Races Left at Flat Rock in 2023!

PREVIEW: Three Races Left at Flat Rock in 2023!

There are just three races remaining at Flat Rock Speedway for the 2023 racing season! There are a number of extremely competitive point standing battles going into Saturday's Hungry Howie's Pizza Night

This Saturday at Flat Rock, three competitive touring series will be in action on the quarter-mile, with some huge moments coming up.

Full Points Standings

It's anyone's guess for the Moran Chevrolet Outlaw Super Late Models points battle!

Conner Zbozien leads by just 5 points over both Paul Pelletier and Justin Schroeder, who both have an equivalent number of points.

Zbozien has made his ground in precision, taking 7 top fives in 7 races in the late model. He looks to continue this streak on Saturday, and hopefully go with it a maiden win for the 2023 season!

Despite vastly different journeys to get to this point of the season, the New Boston pair of Paul Pelletier and Schroeder find themselves in the same place in the points battle as of right now.

Like Zbozien, Schroeder is still looking for his first victory of the season.  Pelletier has taken two wins, including the most recent Outlaw Super Late Models win from back on August 4th.

With a win on Saturday, Pelletier or Schroeder could move into first place in the overall points lead as we move into Harris Mechanical Season Championship weekend.

Just behind, Chris Benson also looks to make some waves in the big championship fight, as we head into the last two races of the season.

The DTS Drive Train Specialists Street Stock A-Main points battle all comes down to these next two races, as Kenyon Knight looks to defend a 70 point lead over defending champion Jeremy Vanderhoof.

Knight has not taken a single win thus far this season, but with nine top tens in nine races, his consistency has resulted in a strong points lead. Landon Schuster and Jonny Rangel are just behind, both still looking for their first victory of the season, but are certainly involved in the points battle.

Rob Moore Jr and Jeff Metdepenningen slide in just behind, both drivers with a single win so far this season, including Metdepenningen's big win in the 50-lap street stock A-Main feature back on June 3rd.

In the R&M Recycling Figure 8 points battle, Jeremy Vanderhoof leads by just 40 points over Dennis Whisman Jr after nine races.

Both drivers have combined for five wins -- more than half of the race wins in 2023 thus far. Four of those victories belong to Whisman Jr, and Vanderhoof, the points leader, still leads with one victory so far this season.

The racing will be big and competitive, and it all starts at 7 PM on Saturday. Hungry Howies Pizza Night will set the stage for the final race of the season, and its one of the last opportunities to see a race at the Level Pebble in 2023! Spectator gates will open at 5 PM, and racing will begin at 7.
