GREG STUDT TAKES CORRIGAN RACE FUELS 100 WIN AT FLAT ROCK

Flat Rock, MI-June 25, 2022:   Greg Studt captured the Corrigan Race Fuels 100 for the ARCA DTS Drive Train Specialists Street Stock division on a very warm and muggy Saturday night at Flat Rock Speedway.  Taylor Papineau took the win in the 25 lap Street Stock B Main, while Matt Kemp was the victor in the MCR Dwarf Car feature.  Rayce Metdepenningen grabbed the checkered flag in The Vault 250 lap Enduro race to cap off the night, which featured just short of 400 laps of racing.

Landon Schuster paced the 31-car field in qualifying with a lap of 13:344, then set the inversion by dice—12 cars for the 100-lap contest.  Scott Selmi, Johnny Rangel and Arnold Kirsch all took turns leading the event in the first part of the race.  Studt edged his way to the front and took the point on lap 33 and continued on to the big win, netting the $1000 prize.   With bonus money and lap money,  Greg collected $1395 for the night.  2021 race winner Rob Moore Jr. was second, Jeremy Vanderhoof was third, Doug Litogot fourth and rookie Kenyon Knight capped off a great start with a 5th place run.  Knight cut his teeth in the Enduro ranks, with Saturday’s race his first in Street Stock competition.  Veteran Arnold Kirsch, Ron Allen, Trevor Farmer, Craig Lange and Caleb Barron completed the top 10.

Taylor Papineau continued his winnings way, grabbing the 25 lap B Main contest for the DTS Street Stocks.  Rookie Jeremy Cronenwett led lap 1, while Mike Miller took the top spot for the next 4 laps.  Papineau nosed out front on lap 6 on his way to the checkered flag.  Jerry Farmer, Ian Jezylo, Miller, Chuck Pankow, Robert Stewart, Joe Rozek, Rich Abel, Cronenwett and Austin McKee completed the finishing order.  McKee set the B fast time at 13:902.
