BERGAKKER ENTERS FLAT ROCK DRIVE TRAIN SPECIALISTS JOY FAIR MEMORIAL 100 FOR SATURDAY; ROOT, BERRY ALSO ON LIST

May 27, 2022:  Defending race winner Brian Bergakker, Mike Root and first-time visitor Trevor Berry have added their names to the pre-entry list for the DTS Drive Train Specialists Joy Fair Memorial 100, set for this Saturday afternoon, May 28 at Flat Rock Speedway.  Race time has a 4 p.m. start.

Bergakker won this race in 2019 and 2021 (the track was not open in 2020 due to Covid-19) and was the 2019 ARCA Late Model Gold Cup champ.  Root is a 2-time (2008, 2009) Gold Cup champion and Berry will be making his first-ever start at Flat Rock at the wheel of Bob Blount’s #16.

The ARCA Moran Chevrolet Outlaw Super Late Models will practice, qualify and compete in the 100 lap feature on the fast ¼ mile paved oval, held in the memory of Joy Fair.  Fair, the winningest driver in the history of the ¼ mile paved oval (159 wins) will once again be remembered by fans, race teams and officials with this 100-lap contest.

Members of Joy’s family will be on hand to greet the crowd and present the trophy to the winner.  The DTS Drive Train Specialists Street Stocks will also be in action with practice, qualifying, heat races and feature events.

There is no advance ticket sale for this race.  ALL tickets go on sale at 1:30 p.m. on race day at the track ticket office.  The front gates will also open at 1:30, practice begins at that time and racing starts at 4 p.m.  The pit gates open at 11:30 a.m.
