DTS DRIVE TRAIN SPECIALISTS JOY FAIR MEMORIAL 100 AT FLAT ROCK MAY 28

As Flat Rock Speedway’s 70th Anniversary season is now in weekly racing mode, it is only fitting that the first special event of 2022 is upon us—the DTS Drive Train Specialists Joy Fair Memorial 100, set for Saturday afternoon, May 28.  Race time has a 4 p.m. start.

The rain date is Sunday, May 29 at 2 p.m.

The entry blank is now posted on Flat Rock’s website at www.flatrockspeedway.com under the Racer Info. tab.

Fair, the winningest driver in the history of the ¼ mile paved oval (159 wins) will once again be remembered by fans, race teams and officials with this 100-lap contest for the ARCA Moran Chevrolet Outlaw Super Late Models.  A field of 18-22 cars is expected for the event.  Middleville, MI driver Brian Bergakker is the defending race winner.

Fans will see Flat Rock’s regulars battle with several drivers from outside the Southeastern Michigan area that will be making their first appearance of the year for this prestigious event.  Fair passed away in 2011.  Members of Joy’s family will be on hand to greet the crowd and present the trophy to the winner.  The DTS Street Stocks will also be in action.

Lap money sponsorship is available at $5 per lap, which goes to the leader of each lap.  Performance Images (10 laps) and Louie Bennett (10 laps) have pledged their support in lap money to date.  Please call 734-782-2480 or 419-727-1100 to be a lap sponsor!

There is no advance ticket sale for this race.  ALL tickets go on sale at 1:30 p.m. on race day at the track ticket office.  The front gates will also open at 1:30, practice begins at that time and racing starts at 4 p.m.  The pit gates open at 11:30 a.m.

The entry list will be posted next week as entries begin to arrive.
