KIDS POWER WHEELS DERBY AT FLAT ROCK SATURDAY, MAY 21

Flat Rock Speedway will host a Kids Power Wheels Derby as part of R & M Recycling Kids Day, Saturday, May 21.  The highly-popular battery-powered machines will battle on the track at Flat Rock.

The Power Wheels Derby is for Kids ages 3-10.  Each contestant must provide their own Power Wheels car and helmets must be worn.  The entry form is on the track’s home pages under Racer Information, along with the minor’s release.  Parents must fill out a minor’s release form prior to the event.  A copy of that document is on the track’s home page under Racer Information at www.flatrockspeedway.com.  There is a $10 entry fee per child per race.

For the 2022 event, the Power Wheels cars are to be dropped off at the PIT gate on the north end of the grounds between 3-3:30 p.m.  Parents only will be permitted to accompany their child onto the track surface for the event at approximately 3:50 p.m.

Each participant will receive a die-cast miniature car for their participation.

The R & M Recycling Kids Day promotion will see all kids to age 12 admitted FREE of charge and each child will receive a free hot dog, courtesy of Schwebel Baking Company.  Parents will pick up their kids tickets at the ticket office when they purchase their tickets on race day.

ALL tickets will go on sale at the track at 2 p.m. on race day.  There is no advance sale for this event.  The ticket office and front gates will open at 2, with racing at 4 p.m.

UAW Local 3000 will also hold their annual outing at the speedway on May 14.

The ARCA DTS Drive Train Specialists Street Stocks will compete in a full slate of events, and there’s more action with The Vault ARCA Enduro 250 lap race and the R & M Recycling Figure 8’s, all part of the afternoon of family fun and entertainment.  The TKC Go-Karts will stage an exhibition race just prior to the Power Wheels event.
