FLAT ROCK READY FOR MAY 1 OPENER----SPECIAL 4 P.M. START TIME

Saturday, April 24, 2021:  Flat Rock Speedway’s second and final pre-race practice session was completed Saturday afternoon under cloudy skies.  Rain drops fell off and on for a brief period but did not stop the 5 hour session.  A total of 40 cars hit the track for the last tune-up before the first race of the year. 

The Jack’s Bicycle of Monroe Opening Day is set for Saturday afternoon, May 1.  The first 3 Saturday races-May 1, May 8 and May 15, will have racing beginning at 4 p.m.  The ARCA Moran Chevrolet Outlaw Super Late Models, DTS Drive Train Specialists Street Stocks and the ARCA Figure 8’s will be in action as the 2021 season gets the green flag.

The pit gates will open at 11:30 a.m., practice begins at 1:30 and racing starts at 4 p.m.

There is no advance ticket sale.  The box office will open at 1:30 p.m. and tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis.  All tickets are general admission.  Adults are $15 each, children 6-12 are $5 and under 6 are free.  The track is under a capacity limit from the State of Michigan orders.

Masks are required upon entry to the track and in any common areas (Concession stands, souvenir stand, restrooms).  Please social distancing when possible and washing your hands are other protocols that will be followed by the track.  Hand sanitizing stations will be located throughout the spectator concourse.  No coolers or outside beverages are permitted.  Parking is FREE on the track grounds.  Go to www.flatrockspeedway.com for updates and current information.

RACE TEAM INFORMATION

Stay ahead of the game by downloading the membership form and the Covid Waiver/release form and have it filled out prior to arriving at the track Saturday!  The forms may be found under the Driver Info. tab on the track’s home page.  A reminder to also fill out the W-9 form.  ALL drivers must fill out this form prior to payoff.

Masks are required upon entry to the track and in any common areas (Pit sign-in, tech barn, tire barn, concession stand, restrooms).  Social distancing and washing your hands are other protocols that will be followed by the track.

*Until further notice, the gate from the pits to the grandstands will be locked on race days.  You will not be permitted to sit in the main grandstand or put blankets down.  Please work with us as we get through this issue.  (You will be allowed to the restrooms!).

Pits open at 11:30 a.m., tech, tire/fuel sales also open at 11:30.

Practice begins at 1:30 p.m.  The first session will be 10 laps; the second session will also be your qualifying session-maximum of 6 laps.  The qualifying sessions will be just like in 2019; 3 cars at a time for Late Models, Street Stocks; 4 for Figure 8’s.  See the race procedure sheet for a refresher and explanation.  ***If there is time left, the track will be opened back up for practice.  It will NOT change your qualifying time.  We will do this for the May 1 event.

Pits passes:  $20 ARCA member, $35 non-member.

Race procedure sheets, contingency award sheets and decals are in the tech barn.  *Be sure to have the proper decals in place as listed on the sheet.  This is your responsibility.

*Tire sales prior to race day will take place this Thursday and Friday only from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
