FLAT ROCK-TOLEDO SPEEDWAY UPDATE---JUNE 13, 2020

FLAT ROCK-TOLEDO SPEEDWAY UPDATE---JUNE 13, 2020

As of today, Saturday, June 13, no new information has been received from the States of Michigan and Ohio regarding race tracks and the possibility of re-opening.

With that, we will cancel the Saturday, July 4 event at Flat Rock Speedway.

It is not financially feasible for us to conduct racing events until we are permitted to have at least a reasonable percentage of our overall seating capacity in attendance.

We will provide a minimum 2-week notice prior to the first race date, and we will schedule practice days prior to the first race.

Until such time as we know those dates, we will continue with private track rentals at both tracks, expanding to our established plan of past seasons, including a maximum of 4 cars per 4-hour session.

For Flat Rock, we have communicated with Ash Township, the Monroe County Health Department and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department to confirm what is allowed and permitted. Social Distancing is required and face coverings are recommended, as is hand sanitizer for each race team.  Maximum gathering allowed is 100.

At Toledo, we are working with the Lucas County Health Department, the city of Toledo and the Lucas County Board of Commissioners.

We are running an ARCA Menards Series East race at Toledo today, June 13, with essential personnel only allowed on the grounds and no spectators, per the State of Ohio orders.

Please check back with us at our websites for further updates, which we are committed to providing regularly.
