SCHEDULE UPDATES FOR FLAT ROCK, TOLEDO CONTINUE WITH CANCELLATIONS

May 29, 2020:  With the recently-announced Executive Orders to extend the “Stay Safe, Stay Home” until June 12 from the State of Michigan Governor’s office, and no further updates from the State of Ohio Governor’s office, which stated in recent rulings not allowing races with spectators (competitors only), both Flat Rock and Toledo Speedway’s 2020 racing schedules have been updated, and will continue to do so as further governmental and healthcare guidance is provided.  Most importantly. both tracks are taking into account the health and safety of our fans, sponsors, race teams and officials.  The updates are listed below:

FLAT ROCK SPEEDWAY EVENTS

The Saturday, June 20 race date is canceled.

The Saturday, June 27 race date is canceled.

All June TKC Go-Kart Club events at Flat Rock are canceled.

TOLEDO SPEEDWAY EVENTS

The Thursday, July 2 O’Reilly Auto Parts All Star Monster Truck Show is cancelled.  The event will be rescheduled for the 2021 racing season.

**The ARCA Menards East Racing Series event has been rescheduled for Saturday, June 13.  Unfortunately, no spectators will be permitted.  Only essential personnel to conduct the event, as screened and approved by ARCA, will be in attendance.  The race will be telecast live on NBC Sports Track Pass and re-aired on the NBC Sports Network.

Private race car testing is still available at both tracks.  Please call Scott at 734-782-2480 or 419-727-1100 to book a date.  A 5-day minimum is needed to book a practice time.

“The approval for limited private testing and the June 13 Toledo race with restricted attendance provides us an initial phase of activity. The goal, with governmental and healthcare guidance and permission, is to then phase into open practice days, and eventually proposed racing events with a percentage of overall seating capacity allowed in the grandstands,” said Ron Drager, Owner and Promoter of the tracks.  “Both Michigan and Ohio Governors have issued guidances stating public gatherings of large sizes will be among the last activities permitted to resume. Our strategy is to be as ready as possible for that time, but in all cased to proceed gradually, safely and only with approval. Due to the uncertainty of specific dates for future racing events, the advance sale of tickets for general public attendance at all events has been suspended until further notice.”

We are committed to providing timely updates, which will be posted on the tracks’ websites and Facebook page as they become available. **The next schedule update is scheduled for on or about June 12.
