Flat Rock, MI (Sunday, June 16, 2019) - The Motor City 200 at Flat Rock Speedway, scheduled for Sunday, June 16th, has been cancelled due to weather. Rains overnight with a forecast calling for more rains throughout the day have forced event organizers to cancel the event. The Motor City 200 will not be rescheduled.
Another attempt to run the Motor City 200 at Flat Rock Speedway has been foiled by weather. This is the second time in two tries that weather has played a factor in the event, originally scheduled for Sunday, April 28th. The event organized by Motor City Racing Promotions (MCRP) was then postponed to today, Sunday, June 16th.
The Motor City 200 will not be rescheduled, as officials with MCRP, Champion Racing Association, ICAR, and Flat Rock Speedway do not have an available date that will suit all parties.
Refunds will be issued to fans who have purchased advance tickets to the Motor City 200 throughout the next week.
