MCR Dwarf Series Now Part of Motor City 200

Rochester Hills, MI-The date is different, but the anticipation is still high for the Motor City 200 on Sunday, June 16th at Flat Rock Speedway.  The event, originally scheduled for Sunday, April 28th, was postponed due to weather. Now, drivers have a few events under their belt in the 2019 season and are looking for history in the first ever JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour and the ICAR Strike Force Energy Allstar Modified Tour appearance at Flat Rock Speedway.  Now, also on the race card is the Midwest Classic Racers Dwarf Car Series.

The JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour will make their inaugural voyage to the semi-banked historic ¼ mile to do battle for 100 laps.  The Motor City 200 marks the third event of the 2019 season, with former Series Champion, Dan Leek coming into the event as the current point leader, with a slim two-point margin over Mandy Chick.

For the ICAR Strike Force Energy All-Star Modified Tour, they also come in with just two other events under their belt in 2019.  Modifieds haven’t seen Flat Rock Speedway in over a decade, going back to September of 2007, when Eric Lee picked up the Modified feature win after setting quick time at a 12.691 second lap time, before leading wire-to-wire in the 50-lap main event.

Now on the schedule for the Sunday afternoon affair is the Midwest Classic Racers Dwarf Car Series. Underway in their 25th season, the MCR Dwarf Car Series brings action-packed excitement with their ⅝ scale model vintage cars. A special non-points, 25 lap feature event is in store for race fans on Sunday afternoon.

Pit Gates are scheduled to open at 10:00, practice begins at 12:00, qualifying is set for 2:00 and racing starts at 3:00. The main grandstands will open at Noon. Adult tickets are $20 in advance, when purchased online at MotorCity200.com. Adult tickets are $24 at the door. Kids are just $3.
