Motor City 200 at Flat Rock Speedway Postponed Until June 16

Flat Rock, MI (April 26, 2019) – Motor City Racing Promotions, the promoter of Sunday’s Motor City 200 at Flat Rock Speedway, has announced that the event has been postponed until Sunday, June 16. With a forecast of rain all night Saturday night and snow Sunday morning, with wind chills Sunday afternoon in the 40’s, officials decided to postpone the event.

“We really regret having to postpone this event,” remarked Scott Menlen, President of Motor City Racing Promotions. “There was a lot of excitement building for this show, but with the poor forecast we decided it was in the best interest of racers and fans to postpone the event to a later date in summer. We made the decision early in an effort to save teams travel cost and being able to cancel hotel rooms.”

The JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour and the ICAR Allstar Modified Tour will be part of the rescheduled Motor City 200 on June 16th. The Victory Custom Trailers CRA Junior Late Models already have an event scheduled that weekend, so their portion of the event will be canceled. A full schedule of events for the Motor City 200 on Sunday, June 16th at Flat Rock Speedway will be released at a later date.

Flat Rock’s practice session, set for Saturday, April 27 will go on as scheduled.
