ENDURO CHAMPIONSHIP ON THE LINE AT FLAT ROCK SATURDAY; FINAL RACE OF YEAR

Flat Rock, MI—September 5, 2018: A sensational battle for the title is on the line Saturday night, September 8, as Flat Rock Speedway prepares to crown the season champion for the Monroe News Enduro class. A total of 4 drivers are separated by only 10 points heading into the 250 lap season finale’ Saturday. Race time is 6 p.m.

A rain date of the next day, Sunday, September 9 at 2 p.m. has been established if needed.

The final race of the year at Flat Rock is also Whelen First Responders Night, with all police, EMS, fire and rescue personnel admitted free by presenting their proper ID at the ticket windows Saturday.

Fans that attended the September 1 Flat Rock school bus race can bring their ticket stubs to the September 8 event and will receive admission for just $5.

Rick Bennett has a 5 point edge on both Robb Remick and Derrick Sheppard, while Kyle Metdepenningen sets just 10 markers back from the leader. Troy Brehmer rounds out the top 5 in the point standings, 50 points back of Bennett. Each finishing position drops by 5 points.

The 5 race series has had 4 different winners to date; Remick, Metdepenningen, Frank Trupiano and Ethan Stadniczuk.

The Bandoleros are also slated for action, with the 250 lap feature for the Monroe News Enduro Series to follow.

The pit area opens at 3:30, the front gates and ticket office open at 5, practice/qualifying is set for just after 5 and race time is 6 p.m.
