2013 Street Stock A division champion, Grant Hedges won his second career feature. He’s also the second repeat feature winner of 2018 in the A division. “What an awesome night! First off, I want to thank the good Lord above for giving me the ability to do this, without him none of this is possible. I want to thank my beautiful wife, Nina, for all her love and support this season. We had our son, Derek, a few weeks ago, and she told me to get back to the track and win! This win is for them. Special thanks to my dad for all of his hard work this entire season, as well as Curt, Bryan, and Scott for their help each race weekend. Bryan missed his Mom’s birthday dinner to be here tonight, so hopefully this was a good present for her! I’m so proud of this race team. Everybody works hard and stays focused, it’s a privilege to drive for these guys. I’ve always wanted to win a heat and feature on the same night, it felt awesome to check that off the list. Thanks to all of the fans who came out tonight, and all of those who stopped into Autograph Alley to hang out after the win. I’m looking forward to the season championship race next weekend.”

Rich Abel won his first Street Stock B feature of the year. “Yep, the young guys are getting hard to beat, especially on an old guy like me (laugh). First of all, I want to thank my Lord and Savior Jesus for keeping me safe and healthy throughout the year. I’ve been working on this car all year long to get it to handle halfway decent … so it doesn’t burn my tires off. Those young guys, they’re really hard on this old man (laugh) … but a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while (more laughs).

Clarity Patton won the special Pursuit race. It was her first ever pursuit (did you know years ago, pursuits were regular races each week?)

Jeremy Vanderhoof won his third consecutive Figure 8 feature. I believe this is the first time he’s ever had three in a row at Flat Rock (my search went back to 2005). “The car is absolutely perfect. You have to have luck too, starting in good lines, and just a fast car. It rotates well and I can get back on the gas. I have to thank my good friend Rob Martel for giving me this opportunity. We’ll keep winning as many as we can, that’s why we come here every week to win heats or features … to run hard because that’s what he would’ve wanted us to do.” I’ll check it out but Jeremy has five wins this year at Flat Rock which I also think might be a personal best for him.

Ethen Lambert finished a career high second in the Figure 8 feature, “It’s hard to run up front with that much talent on the track. This is my best finish and longest time leading. I want to thank my sponsors Martins Towing (Brownstown) and Northside Bar and Grill (Monroe). A special thanks to my dad, Dave Lambert in the 02 and my brother Johnny in the 04, as well as Jeremy Vanderhoof in the 06 for all the help …couldn’t do it without them. Thank you so much! Also thanks to Jennahs Wine and Wood Décor.”

It was a good night for the Lamberts as dad Dave won the boat Figure 8 race. “I lost my clutch the last lap, so I barely made it across the end. I want to thank my sponsors Martins Towing (Brownstown) and Northside Bar and Grill (Monroe).”

Ethan Stadniczuk led the majority of the Enduro race and took the victory (he also won the Factory Stock race the day before at Toledo). “This win means a lot to us at DTS Racing. We recently lost my grandmother unexpectedly and would like to dedicate this win to her. Also. I would like to thank my Dad and uncle for everything they do for me in and out of the shop. And, of course, our sponsors. Hypercyl, Forest View Lanes, 1 stop speed shop, Bedford auto shop and es billing solutions. Without all of you this would not be possible.”

This weekend is Championship weekend at Toledo and Flat Rock.
