Flat Rock, MI—August 9, 2018: Saturday, August 11 Flat Rock Speedway will host UAW Local 3000 Kids Night! All kids to age 12 will be admitted FREE and receive a FREE hot dog, compliments of the track. Parents should pick up the children’s tickets upon arrival to the track on race day. There is no advance or phone sales for this event.

Round number 4 of the 5-race Monroe News Enduro Series will hit the track for a 250 lap event, with action also slated for the ARCA Victory Lane Quick Oil Change Figure 8’s and the ARCA DTS Drive Train Specialists Street Stocks.

A special race has been added to this Saturday’s show. The “Bob Rae Pursuit Race,” to honor the memory of Bob Rae, will take place after the Street Stock feature events.

The evening will be capped off with a wild Boat Figure 8 race!

There are just 2 point race nights left on the 2018 race schedule at Flat Rock for the Figure 8’s and Street Stocks. Defending champ Ray Morneau Jr. leads Grant Hedges, Jeff Metdepenningen, Greg Studt and Clarity Patton in the chase for the 2018 track title in the A Main Street Stocks, while Ian Jezylo has the edge over Anthony Camilli, rookie L.J. Farmer, Rich Abel and James Pankow in the B Main point standings.

3-time defending king Billy Earley has a solid lead over Dennis Whisman Jr., Dennis Whisman, Eugene Worden and Jeremy Miller with 2 nights to go in the Figure 8 class.

An amazing battle for the Monroe News Enduro Series has 3 drivers tied for the top spot with 2 events remaining on the schedule. Robb Remick, Rick Bennett and Kyle Metdepennigen have tallied 570 points through the first 3 events. Derrick Sheppard is just 10 points back of the lead trio, while Troy Brehmer trails by 25 markers.

The pit gates open at 3, practice begins at 4:30 time trials are set for 5:45 and racing begins at 7 p.m. ALL tickets go on sale race day at 4:30 when the ticket office and front gates open.
