This is our last winter bulletin of the season. Flat Rock office will open Monday, April 16. Toledo office is open as usual.

HEAD/NECK RESTRAINT REMINDER THAT ALL CLASSES are now required to have this device. Fastime Racing Engines and Parts is offering deals on them…check them out at www.fastimeracing.com or 734-947-1600.. And just a reminder that the helmet dating is now Snell 2010 or newer…..

**Race Car and Parts Auction to be held at Flat Rock! For the very first time, an equipment auction, including a race car and parts auction, will be held Saturday, April 7. Former announcer and noted auctioneer Rollo Juckette and his business partner, Brad Neuhart, will conduct the auction. Cars, engines, parts, trailers….Go to rolloandbrad.com for information and get ready. One of the items is an Enduro/Factory Stock chassis, minus motor and trans.

TIRES AND FUEL: The Hoosier 880 tires will be $117 each for 2018; the Late Model tires (at both tracks) will be $142 for this season ($2 per tire increase from last season for both tires). They will be available at Flat Rock Tuesday, April 17 and at Toledo Tuesday, April 10. We do not have fuel pricing as of March 20

W-9 FORMS: ALL drivers will be required to fill out a W-9 form before you go to payoff. That form is on the webpages under forms…fill it out now, send it, please.

** FLAT ROCK PAD RENTAL FORMS: are posted on the webpage under forms. THEY WILL NOT BE MAILED. *We have received more calls about pads than we have in past years….so…..follow the payment deadlines and you will be set. **Short rigs and open trailers may be asked to move to the hill area—we’ll get it all figured out after the first practice….BEAT THE DEADLINE, SAVE 50 BUCKS AND GET A FREE PIT PASS TO A PRACTICE DAY.

FIGURE 8 RULE AMENDMENT: Effective immediately, Figure 8 cars have the option to run a stock roof. The roof wing is still permitted—those specs have not changed.

Late Model Gold Cup: Moran Chevrolet, Dani’s Transport, Drive Train Specialists (DTS), Diamond Racing and Royal Truck and Trailer have re-upped to back the Late Model Gold Cup Series, while Francis Engineering and HABCO Tool and Development have also pledged their support. New for the Gold Cup Series is the VanDoorn Racing and Development $100 Fast Qualifier Award, and Fastime Racing Engines and Parts will sponsor the Crew Chief Champion Award-a $250 bonus.

Late Model Gold Cup Series entries are posted under forms and have also been mailed.

FR Late Models: Penske Shocks will return to support the Flat Rock Late Models; they will award a $100 gift certificate for the winner and 5th place finisher of each Late Model event in 2018.

The Monroe News Enduro Series entries are posted under forms and have also been mailed.

Sunoco Race Fuel will again be the official fuel of the tracks. Corrigan Oil (Flat Rock) and Bazell Race Fuels (Toledo) have once again pledged their support for the upcoming season. Fastime Racing Engines and Parts returns to sponsor the Figure 8 and Street Stock fast qualifier awards at Flat Rock for 2018. FiveStar Race Car Bodies will also post season-ending awards again for the Street Stocks and Late Model Sportsman classes, and AR Bodies will also continue their support.

We are looking for tire busters for both tracks. We would like to have a couple people to fill the spot as needed at both tracks. We already have a couple candidates, but if you are interested, please contact Scott.

ARCA licenses: you may download the 2018 membership form; it can be found under forms on each web page.

TRACK RENTALS: There are some changes with track rentals for 2018. Information is posted under forms.….there are no Tuesday rentals, minimum 5 day notice and minimum of 4 hour rentals required….this is due to ambulance availability.

I-75 Construction: I-75 Southbound from the Rouge River Bridge to Northline Road will be closed again in 2018. Northbound traffic will be open. Make alternate plans for your best route to Flat Rock and Toledo!

Toledo opening day: The Spring 200, featuring 100 lap features for both the ARCA Gold Cup Late Models and the ARCA/CRA Super Series Saturday, April 14. Practice on Friday, April 13. *There is an open practice on Wednesday, May 2 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The first race for the Late Model Sportsman and Factory Stocks is Friday, May 4, with the USAC Silver Crown Cars.

Flat Rock opening day: is set for Saturday, April 28-Late Models, Figure 8’s and Street Stocks. There are a pair of open practices: Saturday, April 21 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Wednesday, April 25 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Car numbers: IF you need a car number or there are any changes of car numbers—be sure to call us at the office, or, if you are switching classes. Please remember the Enduro races have an entry fee and a separate car number list…we will do our best to work with everyone.

NEW TEXT ALERT SYSTEM! In the next few weeks, a text alert system will be available for both tracks! This will largely be used to keep teams updated on weather issues. There is no cost. We will have all the details very soon!

RULE BOOK: The 2018 rule book will be available online very soon. Again, details to follow.

PROJECTS: We will be upgrading the lighting systems under the grandstands at each track to LED this season. Asphalt repair is scheduled for both tracks, including resurfacing the transitions to and from the ½ mile to the ¼ mile at Toledo. The infield at Flat Rock will also get some regrading done, and the continued restroom renovations at both tracks are also in the plans.

Get to the pre-season practices, get your license, pit pad rental, get through tech, take some laps and be ready for Opening Night. As is always the case, we will not delay the show…see you soon!
