MONROE NEWS ENDURO 250 TO CLOSE OUT FLAT ROCK RACING SEASON SATURDAY

Flat Rock, MI—September 7, 2017: There’s one more race and 1 more track champion to crown at Flat Rock Speedway for the 2017 racing season! The final race of the season at “The Rock” is set for Saturday, September 9. The Monroe News 250 lap Enduro championship and the Bandolero cars will be in action starting at 6 p.m.

Fans that attended the School bus race on September 2 can bring their ticket stub to the ticket office Saturday and get in for just $2.

Royal Oak, MI driver Robb Remick will be looking to ice down his 3rd Enduro title in his #3 Saturday night. Robb shared the crown with Rick Bennett in 2014 and won it outright in 2015. Remick has a 20 point edge over Derrick Sheppard and is 25 points up on Kyle Metdepenningen going into the final 250 lap event. Nathan Sprotberry sits fourth in the standings, 100 points behind the leader, while Troy Brehmer and Matt Ringger are tied for 5th, 135 markers back.

The point system awards 200 for the win and drops by 5 points per spot back through the field. The pre-entry list stands at 23 cars as of Thursday afternoon.

Prior to the Monroe News 250, the Bandolero cars from Spartan, MI Speedway will hit the track for a feature race, right at 6 p.m. Flat Rock Speedway will add the Bandolero cars to their 2018 schedule, with a total of 8 races planned.

The Bandolero cars are a purpose-built race car for the ages of 8-14.

The pits open at 3:30, practice begins at 4:30, the front gates open at 4:30 and racing begins at a special time of 6 p.m. There is no ticket pre-sale for this event. All tickets will go on sale at 4:30 on race day at the track. No phone orders are being taken.
