KIDS RACE IN POWER WHEELS DEMOLITION DERBY AT FLAT ROCK
FLAT ROCK, MI—Saturday night, July 15 was a big night for the participants in the first-ever kids’ Power Wheels Demolition Derby at Flat Rock Speedway. It might well have been a bigger night for the parents, grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Participating in the event on the frontstretch of Flat Rock’s ¼ mile paved oval were Brayden Heebsh and Scott Apperson, both age 3, Abbey Bland 5, Ryan Brehmer 6, Emma Bland, Lila Belle Whisman and A.J. Nesbitt all age 7, Hannah Earley and Kassidy Krzemen age 8, Nickolas Kurkules 9 and Nick Martell age 10.
Each youth racer was presented with an ARCA branded checkered flag and received a free hot dog from the track concession stand, courtesy of Flat Rock General Manager Scott Schultz.
The next Power Wheels Demolition Derby is scheduled for Toledo Speedway Friday August 11. In addition, there is a kids Power Wheels Demolition Derby during the Monroe County Fair Demolition Derby at the Monroe County Fairgrounds Tuesday Aug. 1.
