Toledo, OH—February 17, 2017:  A new twist to the ARCA Late Model Gold Cup Series for the upcoming season will see a new name and a purse boost of $2000 per race, thanks to six (6) businesses that have pledged their support for the outlaw-bodied Late Model class at both Flat Rock and Toledo Speedways.

Royal Truck and Trailer Sales, Moran Chevrolet, DTS Drive Train Specialists, Diamond Racing Products, Dani’s Transport and former Late Model racer Guy Pritchard are the six businesses that have made the new concept, the ARCA Late Model “Super 6 Gold Cup” Series a reality.

A point system will continue to be maintained; however, there will be no point fund.  A Series champion will be crowned and provisional starting spots for the Glass City race at the end of the season will also be in place, based on the final point standings.

The six events, 3 at Flat Rock and 3 at Toledo, are as follows; Saturday, April 22, Spring 100 at Toledo; Saturday, May 27, Diamond Racing Products Joy Fair Memorial 100 at Flat Rock; Saturday, July 1 Firecracker 100 at Toledo; Saturday, July 22 Moran Chevrolet Stan Yee Memorial 150 at Flat Rock; Saturday, August 5 Miller Lite 100 at Toledo and Saturday, August 12 at Flat Rock, which is a 75 lap contest.

“The Late Model class is one of the premier divisions at both tracks for our fan base,” said Ron Drager, Owner and Promoter of both tracks.  “Car counts have been very solid for the past 2 years, and we believe the Super 6 Gold Cup concept will only strengthen the Late Model car count and the exciting competition at both tracks.  We are extremely grateful to the six individuals who have agreed to support this new program for the ARCA Late Model special events.”

The entry blanks for the ARCA Late Model Super 6 Gold Cup Series will be available the first full week in March.
