BENEFIT FOR JERRY LEE JANUARY 17

BENEFIT FOR JERRY LEE JANUARY 17

A benefit for ARCA Figure 8 driver Jerry Lee will take place Sunday, January 17 at the Indian Lanes Bar and Bowling Center in Wyandotte, MI.  Jerry will be undergoing a kidney transplant at the University of Michigan hospital January 22.  The donor is Jerry’s nephew, Richie Lee Jr.

Jerry is currently receiving dialysis every other day, and has suffered some loss of eyesight and difficulty in walking.  For those of us who know Jerry, this has not stopped him from going to work every day—he will not give up.  His donor is his nephew, Richie Lee Jr., the son of Rich Lee, Jerry’s brother, who is also a former Figure 8 driver and now a car owner for Dennis Whisman.

Jerry stepped aside from driving his Figure 8 car due to his illness in 2014, handing the driver duties over to his son, Jakob.

The Sunday, January 17 benefit includes 3 games of bowling, pizza and soft drinks for a $20 donation per person.  There will be 50/50 raffles, gift baskets and more prizes as Jerry’s friends, fellow racers and family gather to support this great cause.  The Indian Lanes Bar and Bowling Center is located at 4500 13th St. in Wyandotte, MI.

A go fund me link has also been created for those that cannot attend the fundraiser but would like to contribute.  Go to www.gofundme.com/akhshb6k.
