Let's go back 36 years..1979 is the year that Rick Bundon captured the Flat Rock Speedway Street Stock championship. The class was started in 1977, with Len Jaynes the very first champion of the division. Johnny Hi and Dick Bettis were co-champs in 1978 until Bundon rose to the top of the ranks to grab the title.
Rick can be seen at Flat Rock during the season as a spectator of today's action. The Ypsilanti, MI resident grabbed 28 features during his stint behind the wheel, good for 3rd spot on the all-time win list behind Brian Norton and Ron Allen.
