Flat Rock Speedway up Next for ARCA/CRA Super Series

Salem, IN (August 13, 2015) – The ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS will stay in Michigan for its second event in four days with the 7-UP 125 this Saturday, August 15th at Flat Rock Speedway, located in Flat Rock, Michigan. The racy ¼ mile oval is owned and operated by ARCA and has been the sight of some exciting racing with the ARCA/CRA Super Series. Past event winners include three time series Champion Scott Hantz in 2012 and 2013 and two time series Champion Travis Braden last season.

A ton of CRA talent is entered for Saturday’s race including Brian Campbell, a two time ARCA/CRA Super Series winner in 2015 at the series April 11th season opener at Toledo Speedway and in May at his home track Berlin Raceway. Campbell is now fifth on the series all times win leaders list with 16. Campbell won the August 1st JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour event at Berlin Raceway and has three wins in the Boyne Machine Super Late Models at Berlin Raceway so far this season. Three time series Champion Hantz is entered to make his second series start of the season and try for his third series win at Flat Rock. Hantz is the series statistical leader in almost every category including all time wins.

Current series Championship and Senneker Performance Rookie points leader Grant Quinlan is entered along with second in points Hunter Baize, who picked up his first series win in May at Illiana Motor Speedway and third in points Eddie Van Meter who picked up a series win in April at Anderson Speedway and won the July 17th JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour event at Anderson. Other top CRA regulars entered include Wes Griffith Jr., rookies Matt Hall and Mark Lambert, Jordan Pruitt, Nick Gullatta, and 2013 series Rookie of the Year Ali Kern who picked up her first series win Wednesday night at Kalamazoo Speedway.

2014 JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Champion Dan Leeck is entered along with fellow JEGS Tour competitors Jerry Andrews and Eric Lee. Former CRA regular Jason Dietsch will make his 2015 series debut, Dietsch picked up a JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour victory at Angola Motor Speedway last year. Ohio veteran racer Tim Ice, a former Champion with the old Iceman Series and known for his feats in an Outlaw Late Model will make his 2015 series debut racing for Ohio car owner Jeff Miller.

Pit Gates open on Saturday at 1pm, practice will begin at 3:30 with qualifying at 5:30, There will be an on track autograph session at 6:30. Racing will begin a 7pm and will include the 7-UP 125 for the ARCA/CRA Super Series. NASCAR Sprint Cup driver David Ragan will be on hand Saturday night to sign autographs and visit with fans.
