ARCA SPORTSMAN DIVISION NAME CHANGES TO LATE MODEL SPORTSMAN
Toledo, Ohio—November 6, 2014: The ARCA Aramark Sportsman class will carry a new name for the upcoming season, as the division will now be known as the ARCA Late Model Sportsman. The group competes primarily at Toledo Speedway and will also race at Toledo’s sister track, Flat Rock Speedway, for 2 events for the 2015 season.
“The name change was made to correspond to the evolvement of this particular race car,” stated Ron Drager, owner and promoter of both tracks. “The division features stock-bodied cars with the chassis and equipment similar to a template Late Model, hence the name change. We are very pleased with the division and the appearance of the cars that compete with us. The ARCA Aramark Late Model Sportsman class provides solid competition and we look forward to 2015.”
The new schedules for both tracks will be released around the holiday season.
