Stevie Cronenwett won his third career ARCA Late Model win after a hard fought battle with last week's winner Paul Pelletier.

Our sponsors are Giles Auto Body, Roush Competition Engines, and Operation Injured Soldiers. Special thanks to Butch VanDoorn at VanDoorn Racing Development , Port City Racecars, Justin and Brittany Schroeder, my Crew guys - Dad, Henry, Brian, Rex, Adam, Tom, Dan, and anyone else that lends a helping hand ... our engine assembler Dave. All of my friends and family members in the stands. I couldn't do it without the support from my Mother and Father. Have to give a special thanks to Gina and Justin Giles for giving up Henry for so much time during the week to get the car prepared. And last but not least, and most importantly for me, I have to thank my wife Samantha and sons Austin and Brody for putting up with the amount of time it takes being away from home to do what I enjoy and love to do. She is very supportive and I can't express how much I appreciate that.

As for the race, I have to thank a special little Fan named Logan for picking the pole position for me. I have never had much luck picking cards for my starting position. It was very cool to get the fans involved I hope they enjoyed it as much as I did. We struggled with the handling of the car all practice and really didn't get the qualifying time we wanted. But it worked out to my advantage as we had the outside pole for the Fast Heat. We made big changes for the heat race and the car was the best it had been all day. As for the feature we had a good handling car that allowed me to have one of the best side by side racing for lead with one of Flat Rock's best. I thought it was great that Paul and I could race that hard and close and never touch.

Stevie is the fifth different Late Model driver to win at Flat Rock this season.

Nick Katterhenry, making his third pavement start, won his first career pavement race in his heat. "Third night racing on pavement went well won heat race from fourth place. Started feature 18th finished 12th. I need to thank Gary Richards crew chief and car owner and Snack Time Vending for all their help"

I asked Nick via email, "So what is the 'hardest' thing so far in switching from dirt to pavement?" and his answer to me was interesting ... "It takes a lot more patience to pass someone on pavement ... on dirt there seems to be more groves in the track to pass someone. And qualifying has been difficult because on dirt you don't do that often."

Billy Earley won the Figure 8 feature for the second week in a row. "I want to thank B&H Race Parts, my wife Crissy and kids. More cars, it's better. It's pretty cool working traffic. It was busy watching the cars in front of me trying to dodge them ... that's what make it fun." I'll have to do some research and see if I can find the last time Billy has won back to back Figure 8 wins. Saturday's win was his 17th career win in the Figure 8s at Flat Rock.
