Bulletin: ARCA Flat Rock Speedway Late Model Teams

Flat Rock, MI (8-4-2008)-- Just to update you on the remainder of the 2008 schedule;

Your next race is Saturday, August 16 (Autograph Night). Pits open at 1:30, practice at 3, time trials 4:30, autographs at 6:15, racing at 7. (Schedule moved up ½ hour as usual for Autograph session).

This race will be an impound race—the notice was posted on the payoff window July 26 (150 lap event) for those of you that did not see it. Read More for additional information.

August 23 and August 30 will also be impound races.

The Season Championship race will be Saturday, September 6. Additional information follows:

Impound procedure DOES NOT apply to the 100 lap race.

The race is 100 laps, all green flag.

The top 20 in points going into the event will be guaranteed a starting spot for the 100 lap race.

All cars will qualify.

There will be an inversion.

A last-chance race will be held, if necessary. The top 4 will move to the feature. (No heat races). If each of the top 20 is not present, the field will be filled by additional cars from the last-chance event. A total of 24 cars will start the race.

A driver must have competed at least 2 times prior at Flat Rock this season to be eligible for the Sept. 6 race. If you were here and signed in for a rained-out race, that will count as an appearance at the track.

If the race is lost to weather, it will NOT be rescheduled.

ALL tires are to be cleared out of impound trailer the last night of Late Model racing (September 6).

USED TIRES

We are scheduled to send a load of used tires AFTER the August 16 race. 3035’s and 3045’s ONLY. You may drop them next to impound trailer—please be sure to check with an official before doing so. You may also bring them during the week—just stop in at the office, please.

TOLEDO

Two Gold Cup races remain; Friday, August 8 (50 laps, plus heats) and Sunday, August 31 (100 laps).

The Glass City 200 is set for Saturday, September 20. The entry blank will go out after August 15.
