Condolences to the family of Richard Apperson
TOLEDO OH (12-4-07)--Richard Apperson, former ARCA Figure-8 and Enduro driver at Flat Rock Speedway, died of cancer at his home in Monroe, Michigan after a lengthy illness.
He was 40. Richard was the son of Dempsey Apperson, a winning ARCA Figure-8 driver and current ARCA Figure-8 car owner, and Cathy Apperson, also an ARCA Figure-8 car owner and wrecker service provider at Flat Rock Speedway. Richard's brother Danny Apperson and nephew Scott Apperson currently race in the ARCA Figure-8 division at Flat Rock and Toledo Speedways. Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Rupp Funeral Home in Monroe, where Pastor Danny Slater will preside over services at 1 p.m. Wednesday.
