FLAT ROCK OFF-SEASON WORK BEGINS

FLAT ROCK OFF-SEASON WORK BEGINS

September 30, 2021:  Flat Rock Speedway has already begun its off-season work list of projects at the ¼ mile paved oval.  Good weather has allowed work crews to begin renovations and repairs to the facility.

Monroe Asphalt of Toledo has replaced and repaired portions of the Figure 8 and oval track edges and the infield triangles.  Work in the pit area and on the road behind turns 1 and 2 has also been completed this week.  The company, which serves as the Winner’s Circle sponsor at both Flat Rock and Toledo, will return later in October to do additional repairs to the track and several other areas of the grounds.

The entire north side and west end of the pit area has been covered with asphalt millings and rolled out.  Additional millings are expected to be utilized to cover the remainder of the pit area yet this fall, weather permitting.

A handful of other projects are in the works in preparation for the 2022 racing season.
