REMEMBERING DON ROBERTS

2012 Flat Rock Speedway Street Stock B Main champion Don Roberts, age 67, passed away Monday, December 12, on his birthday. The New Boston, MI resident was well-liked by his fellow competitors.

Don drove the #01 Street Stock and in 2015 was the winner of the Stahl Fab Hard Charger Award at the track, given to the driver who improved the most finishing positions in the A Main feature races. It was an accomplishment that Don was very proud to accept.

He is survived by his wife, Colleen; son Kevin Brunell; daughters Donna Roberts and Michelle Reed; grandson Tyler Reed; 2 brothers, 3 sisters; his in-laws and nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Thursday, December 15 at the Bobcean Funeral Chapel in Carleton, MI from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Services will be Friday, December 16 at St. Stephen Catholic Church in New Boston, MI at 11 a.m.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Don’s family.
