FAIR JR. LEADS FRIDAY PRACTICE FOR MORAN CHEVY-STAN YEE MEMORIAL 150
(Flat Rock, MI—July 22, 2016): Harold Fair Jr. topped a field of 20 cars that took practice laps Friday night for Saturday’s Moran Chevrolet Stan Yee Memorial 150 at Flat Rock Speedway.
The extremely warm summer evening saw Fair post the quickest lap of the day at 11:916. Corey Duane (11:943), Steve Needles (11.958), Steve Cronenwett Jr. (11:964) and Jeff Vrsek (11:995) were the fastest five. 30 cars are entered for this prestigious event.
In anticipation of another warm day Saturday, the speedway has secured medical personnel to be on standby in the grandstand area in addition to the always-present medical support for the race teams.
Race day on Saturday will see the pit area opening at 1, practice begins at 3 p.m. and the front gates will also open at that time. All tickets will go sale race day at the track at 3 p.m. The track’s ARCA DTS Drive Train Specialists Street Stocks will also be in action. Time trials begin at 5:30 and racing gets the green flag at 7 p.m.
