BUSY PRACTICE READIES TEAMS FOR JOY FAIR MEMORIAL 100
June 23, 2016: A total of 21 Late Models tuned up Thursday night for Saturday’s Diamond Racing Products Joy Fair Memorial 100 at Flat Rock Speedway. The ARCA Moran Chevrolet Late Model 100 lap contest is part of the Royal Truck and Trailer/ARCA Late Model Gold Cup Series, and, will be a combined event with the Main Event Late Model Series. A total of 33 cars are now on the entry list.
Opening night feature winner Corey Duane posted the top lap of the 3 hour session, stopping the clocks at 11:764. Harold Fair Jr., Craig Everage, Bob Varney, Justin Schroeder, Eric Lee, Nick Bailey, Tadek Stadniczuk, Scott Pemberton and Stan Yee Jr. rounded out the top ten.
The ARCA Victory Lane Oil Change Figure 8’s will also compete June 25. A Racer’s Reunion will also take place.
Saturday’s schedule will see the pit area opening at 1:30, with the first hour of practice reserved for the Late Models, beginning at 3:30. Time trials are set for 5:45 and racing begins at 7 p.m.
Practice, qualifying, last-chance race(s), a 25 lap B Main and the 100 lap feature make up the race card for the division.
The ARCA Victory Lane Oil Change Figure 8 class will run heats and a 20 lap feature event. And in late breaking news, fans Max and Karen Scott have now posted $5 per lap in lap money for the Figure 8 division Saturday night!
