REMEMBERING EUGENE LINDAHL

Eugene “Gene” Lindahl of Jackson, MI, passed away Friday, September 4, 2015 at the age of 93.  Gene was the father of Flat Rock and Toledo Speedway announcer Gary Lindahl.

Gene was a Navy veteran of WW II.  He retired from Consumer Energy after 30 years of service.  He enjoyed auto racing, football, Tigers baseball and reading to his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Stella, whom he was married to for 72 years; sons Gary and Steve and daughter Jeanne, seven grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be held at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church on Monday, September 14 at 10:30 a.m. in Jackson.  The family will receive friends before the mass from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Legion Post #29, 3200 Lansing Avenue, Jackson, MI  49202 or St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 711 N. Francis Street, Jackson, MI  49201.
