A popular trend among social networking sites is Throwback Thursday, reminding us of some popular memory from the past. In recognition of Throwback Thursday, FlatRockSpeedway.com will feature a "Blast From The Past" each week.

Davey Allison from the legendary racing Allison family in the pits at Flat Rock Speedway in 1985. The young Allison took the advice from his father the legendary Bobby Allison who wanted him to get experience before making the jump to NASCAR. Allison did so by competing in several ARCA New Car events in the early 1980’s.  Allison would win 1984 ARCA Rookie of the Year in first full season and compile 8 career wins.
